Shiroishi Castle is located in the center of Shiroishi City. From Shiroishi-Zao Station (where the bullet train stops), it is 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes on foot, making it very accessible,
Shiroishi Castle was deconstructed once under an order to abolish the castle in 1874. To recall Katakura Kojuro Kagetsuna's achievements, the castle was restored faithfully to its original form in 1995.

When you arrive in front of the gate of Shiroishi Castle, there is a ticket office.
You can look at the outside of Shiroishi Castle for free but you need tickets to enter the castle.
Admission is 300 yen for adults and 150 yen per child.
If you also want to check out the samurai residence nearby or learn more about the Shiroishi Castle in the stereoscopic HDTV theater, it is recommended to buy the tickets where you can enter all 3 of them (600 yen for adults, 300 yen for children)!
