Yamabuki-tei is a specialized umen restaurant in an impressive elegant building which is a renovated merchant house from the late Meiji period.
This restaurant is loved by the local people as well as attracting many tourists.
Umen is a kind of somen noodles, and the characteristics are the length which is as short as about 9cm which is easy to eat, and the thick ness which is slightly thicker than normal somen noodles so you can taste more bold noodle flavor.
