If so, we recommend this pottery experience!
Touching clays makes the mind calm, and you can spend time away from everyday life.
In this section, we will introduce pottery classes of "Manpuu Pottery (kiln)" in Zao-machi in Miyagi Prefecture.
A quiet gallery surrounded by the great nature of Zao
Manpuu Pottery offers experience classes including making every day rice bowls and cups and memorable ceramics.
Because instructers guide carefully in details, beginners and families can also have pottery experience at ease.
This is a comfortable facility surrounded by the great nature of Zao with anagama (kiln made by digging a hole in the side of a hill), exhibition gallery and pottery classes.
The classroom is in the midst of nature in the Zao.
Entrance with atmosphere.
Teachers works are displayed in the gallery.
What to make? Fun time to be excited♡
The classroom of Manpuu Pottery is large enough to accommodate 60 people to experience pottery at once, so both single person and groups are all welcome!
When you wear a provided apron, decide what you want to make first by looking at completed samples.
Because actual works are displayed, it is easy to imagine the shapes and colors!
I tried a hand wheel course to make mugs, plates or tea cups freely.
