The spot that I would like to introduce is "Sasakama-kan Tanabata Museum".
This is a facility where a kamaboko specialty shop "Kanezaki" introduce local products and culture of Sendai with joy.
This is the first museum which exhibits Tanabata decorations permanently in Japan.
Inside the building, you can see the various periods of Tanabata decorations, not only the current mainstream elegant Tanabata decorations, but also from the administration period and Meiji Taisho Period!
Each tanabata decorations are made by hand, and they are all delicate and beautiful!
There were decoration with traditional Japanese patterns and decorated with paper cranes, and they were cute and colorful♡
